MEET OUR IN-HOUSE PHOTOGRAPHER
My name is Obi Carrein, and I have had the privilege of serving as Laluka Safari Lodge’s in-house photographer and social media manager for the past two years.
My journey with Laluka grew from a deep love of wilderness, visual storytelling, and capturing authentic moments in nature. I work professionally across Southern Africa as a photographer and filmmaker, with a focus on wildlife, landscapes, and the natural connection between people and wild places.
Every few months, I return to Laluka to document the changing seasons, the wildlife, and the unforgettable guest experiences that make this place so special. I am proud to now offer guests the opportunity to enjoy a personal photography experience during their stay.

My approach is natural and documentary in style, focused on capturing genuine moments as they unfold. There is no forced posing and no disruption to your experience, just honest, beautiful imagery that reflects the spirit of your stay.
Guests who book this experience will receive approximately 15 to 20 professionally edited images per day of coverage, thoughtfully selected to showcase the wildlife, atmosphere, and meaningful moments of their time at Laluka.
This experience is offered on a limited basis and is subject to Obi’s availability at the lodge. We recommend enquiring in advance through the Laluka team to reserve your preferred dates.
PHOTOGRAPHY GUIDANCE DURING YOUR STAY
Guests are also welcome to ask questions and seek photography guidance during their stay. Whether you are shooting on a phone or using a professional camera, I am happy to share practical advice on composition, lighting, camera settings, and post-processing so you can get even more out of your own images and experience.
Video content may also be available on request, depending on availability and the scope of the project.
